About us

After completing my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the prestigious Sir J. J. School of Arts, Mumbai, my journey in ceramics began within the academic corridors of L. S. Raheja School of Art, where I served as a full-time faculty member in the Ceramic & Pottery Department. During this formative period, I simultaneously pursued a Master of Arts in Asian Indian Culture from St. Xavier’s College, a course of study that deepened my understanding of tradition, aesthetics, and the cultural narratives that continue to shape my artistic practice.

In 2012, driven by a desire to explore clay beyond the boundaries of academia, I founded my studio Clay Explore. This space has since become a dynamic intersection of design, craft, and artistic experimentation. Over the years, I have developed and produced bespoke ceramic collections for restaurants, cafés, architects, and interior designers each project offering a new canvas to merge functionality with contemporary craft.

My artistic language is rooted in the Sgraffito technique, a time-honored method through which I carve, reveal, and paint stories onto clay. Working extensively with underglazes, I create surfaces where line, texture, and contrast come together to form a visual dialogue. My work is defined by a modern aesthetic that seeks harmony between nature and objects. I am deeply inspired by the gentle curves of organic forms and the precise, clean lines of modern design. These influences prompt me to explore the interplay between balance, proportion, and movement.

Through continuous experimentation altering, reconstructing, and reimagining shapes I strive to create forms that not only elevate the visual identity of the piece but also enhance its function. Every artwork becomes an intimate exploration of form, texture, and emotion. For me, clay is both material and metaphor: a medium that allows ideas to take shape, evolve, and ultimately find their quiet yet powerful presence in the spaces they inhabit.
